Folder structure importer
Versio.io can import, historize and process monitoring data of folder structures and files.
Configuration
You can find the configuration option in Versio.io at Environment settings > OneImporter > Configurations > Folder structure.
Here you can edit all existing configurations, create new configurations or delete existing configurations. Each configuration can import one or multiple folder structures and files from one host into a single specified entity.
To add a new configuration enter a Name and click Add to proceed to the configuration.
To edit an existing configuration click the arrow on the left of your importer name to expand the configuration options.
The following configuration options are available:

| Active | Option to activate and deactivate the configuration. Data is only imported if the configuration is activated. | |
| Root folder | Specify the folder where the structure is imported from. Subfolders and files are imported automatically. | Separate folders with forward slashes (e.g. C:/Users/myUser). You can only specify one root folder. |
| Exclude | Exclude one or multiple paths from import | Paths must be within the path of the root folder (e.g. C:/Users/myUser/subfolder) |
| Extensions | Exclude one or multiple file formats from import (e.g. .txt, .xml) |

| Capture Size | Determine whether the size of the file should be imported. | Avoid frequent changes by disabling the import of the size attribute. |

Example
The Versio.io OneImporter imports folder structures based on your specific configuration and stores the different instances in the entity defined by you (default: folder-structure). To view the imported instances in Versio.io, you can select 'Asset & Configuration Repository → Instance Viewer'. There you can select your specific instance and click it for a detailed view in the instance history viewer.
